YOUR JOY AT HOME: Baking with Sharon Wong, Motherswork CEO

We speak to Sharon Wong (@swwongsharon), CEO of Motherswork, a one-stop premium retailer for mothers and children, with 2 standalone stores in Singapore and 12 in China. She shares with BEAUBIT the productive activity that she loves at home—baking.

Sharon is a minimalist at heart; her beauty routine is simple—a cleanser and moisturizer. Her hobby started when the 56-year-old and her family lived in the United States. Having a big kitchen with a nice oven while missing Chinese New Year cookies led her to dive into baking. It also helped that she was working from home on different time zones in Singapore.

“I bake to de-stress; the more I bake the easier it gets. Social distancing is the perfect time to keep baking.”

Sharon’s love for baking has now led her to baking for Singapore’s frontline healthcare workers. “Easy first-bake recipes are chocolate chip cookies. These are the cookies I’ve been baking for our health heroes—all 500 cookies. So you know it’s a pretty simple recipe.”
