Lengthen Your Lashes with Marc Jacobs Beauty At Lash’d Mascara

The new norm of wearing face masks means that people have been tossing their lipsticks away in favour of dramatic eye looks; bright, pastel eyeshadows and unusual geometric liner, not to mention dramatic lashes. Eyes are gearing up to be 2020’s trending feature — and Marc Jacobs Beauty’s new mascara is going to make sure yours won’t be ignored.

The creative brains behind the cult-favourite Velvet Noir mascara (SGD44) have just introduced a new formula: the At Lash’d Lifting & Volumizing Mascara (SGD44).

What it is:

Promising to add length, definition and curl, the At Lash’d mascara comes in a luxe gold-and-black packaging, with an innovative wavy brush to ensure flawless application. It’s designed to give you full extension-looking lashes, and its vegan formula (with biotin peptide, provitamin B5, and plant waxes) is a definite bonus.

Our verdict:

As promised, the mascara does deliver instant length and curl and is great for a more natural and defined everyday makeup look. The formula is lightweight and definitely buildable; even with layering, there were no visible clumps, which is definitely a plus.

Great formula aside, it also stays on for an inordinate amount of time. We gave it a good 12-hour test; true to its claims, it lasted the whole day without smudging onto the bottom lids (even with oilier eyelids).

But for those looking for full-fan, voluminous lashes, this might not be the best for you. It definitely gives you more lengthening and curling effects than it does in volumising your lashes.

How to use:

Swipe on two coats for more definition; use the wider area to evenly lengthen and volumise, and the tapered tip to define each lash. For maximum definition, gently wiggle the wand from root to tip. You can also layer on the Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara on top for some va-va-voom lashes.
