Tried & Trusted: Tamburins Water Drop Skincare
We tell you why we’re obsessed with Tamburins’ Water Drop Skincare set.
When it comes to tasteful and sophisticated packaging, South Korean brand Tamburins is easily one of our favourites. The brand was founded by the same people behind the artsy and futuristic-looking eyewear brand Gentle Monster. The cosmetics brand has the same creative aesthetic as its fashion counterpart and features an array of hand creams, serums and fragrances.
Tamburins’ hand creams are luxurious and beautifully scented, with #000 as its signature scent. It’s formulated with a blend of natural essential oils like bergamot and sandalwood and saturated with shea butter and macadamia seed oil to treat dry, rough skin. What’s more, is their artsy-looking tubes that feature dainty chains that connect to shiny gold caps. The brand also boasts an aesthetically pleasing range of fragrances, as well as a Tiger Leaf line.
We tried two of their products: the Tamburins Water Essence Toner (SGD57) and Dance Enhance Cream 2.0 (SGD79), which were recommended to be used in tandem. You’ll love these products as much as we do.
Why we’re obsessed:
The Water Essence Toner is an essential toner that absorbs quickly into the skin and does not leave a sticky residue. Formulated with sea-glue complex, which is made up of five marine extracts, the toner maintains moisture by creating a film over the skin. Other ingredients like Thai kudzu root and Cnidium root keep skin hydrated without irritating it.
As for the Dance Enhance Cream, we loved its watery-light texture. It did not irritate sensitive skin and was great for oilier skin types. Despite its airy texture, its natural ingredients—think oat kernel, artichoke and brown algae—hydrated the skin sans greasiness, while controlling sebum production. Plus, its warm and woody blend of natural oils (bergamot, sandalwood and patchouli) helps soothe tired skin and smooth away any fine lines.
How to use
Morning and night, refine your skin texture with the Water Essence Toner; soak a cotton pad and apply it to clean skin. After toning, pat on the Dance Enhance Cream, and take time to massage in the product.
