Ploi Horwang Shares Her Skin Snacks

Former Social Media Editor at Harpers Bazaar Thailand and YouTube creator Ploi Horwang shares her skincare snacks.

We want to be Ploi Horwang’s BFF. With content spamming from lookbooks to her YouTube videos with her sister, the 34-year-old is constantly channelling her creativity through different avenues and never seems to have a dull moment.

Not one to shy away from wearing multiple hats, the host-model-DJ was the top student in her class at Istituto Marangoni London where she specialised in Fashion Design. Today, it’s clear that Ploi’s hard work in the four-year course has paid off; her fashion and entrepreneurial skills have led her to start her own label, HIM and HER, in 2010.

Being represented in the fashion and beauty industry has led Ploi to experiment with skincare products across brands. One of her biggest skincare concerns is having allergic reactions to a product; in her case, she’s mostly allergic to Japanese products. When asked what she would do facing a skin nightmare: “I just live with it, or I usually use ice cubes to rub my face so that my face cools down a little bit.”

Today, her tried-and-tested holy grail products include the Sublimage range from Chanel; she first uses the gentle Chanel Sublimage Gel-to-Oil Cleanser (SGD 161) to strip her skin of any built-up oil and remaining makeup from the day. The Chanel Sublimage Cleansing Water (SGD 161) allows a double cleanse to fully prepare her skin to absorb the minerals of her skincare regime.

Of all the hydrating products she uses, Ploi swears by the deeply-enhancing La Mer Crème de La Mer Moisturiser (SGD 510), best known for its hydrating and regenerating properties. She complements the moisturising process with the Clarins Lip Comfort Oil (SGD 36) to also keep her lips supple and wrinkle-free, before the application of any lip colour.
