Niki Wujie: “My make-up look depends on my outfit.”

She’s Chinese-born, and best known for her deeply-rooted love for the Italian luxury fashion sphere. Niki Wujie shares her everyday beauty knowledge with us.

Niki Wujie, a porcelain beauty signed under NEXT Management, is an advocate for Milan’s vibrant energy.

“I work with interesting people from all walks of life daily, and when the day is done we take time to galavant the city together. It’s been 7 years and I’m still intrigued.”

Her time away from China has also shed a new perspective on how she views beauty. Now, she recognises that beauty is a multi-faceted avenue designed for her to experiment with, and changes up her beauty and skincare products depending on the season. Niki favours the go-to NARS Radiant Concealer (SGD 46) to prepare her base for her looks, and never fails to create a smooth, translucent finish with the Hourglass Veil Setting Powder (SGD 76).

How Niki decides her makeup look of the day depends on what she’s wearing and then deciding which colours to complement the look. For this look, Niki started by applying a natural brown shade from the Chanel Les 4 OMBRES Éclat Énigmatique (SGD96) before lining her eyes with a black liner and adding a few coats of mascara. To build up the rest of the look, she swiped on the subtle highlighting shade from the Dior Contour Palette (SGD77) to give a more natural sheen to the face, and the darker brown shade to contour her cheekbones. Niki finished it off with one of her favourites, the Chanel Rouge Allure Ink Fusion (SGD52), a natural-looking and smooth matte liquid lip.

While she doesn’t steer far from the natural makeup look, Niki appreciates the artistry behind the looks she gets to experiment in her line of work. “I love watching makeup artists work their magic—each different look allows me to see myself in a new light.” We chat with Niki as she readies for the day in Milan. Watch on to see how she constructs her everyday beauty look.
