Anyone who knows about K-beauty knows about Sulwhasoo. The brand is popular among celebrities and famed for incorporating hanbang ingredients—found in traditional Korean medicine, like ginseng and other herbal extracts— into their products. If you’re aware of this, then you’ll inadvertently know about its First Care Activating line, and two of their bestselling products: the First Care Activating Serum (SGD118) and Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Creamy Mask (SGD148).

If you like a full sensory experience with your skincare, then you’ll appreciate Sulwhasoo’s products. The herbal ingredients give the First Care Activating Serum a spicy, gingery smell that is comforting—it’s a familiar scent across the line.

How to use

Best suited for: All skin types.

The First Care Activating Serum: Pat onto skin immediately after cleansing (or after any products containing active ingredients). You may mix the serum with moisturizer or sunscreen.

Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Creamy Mask: Use after cleansing, and leave on to absorb for 10 to 20 minutes. Gently massage in the remaining essence after taking the mask off to let it sink into the skin.
