Get Ready for Bed with Hanah Bae

In this edition of BEAUBIT ROUTINES, beauty blogger Hanah Bae shares her nighttime skincare routine.

In this series, BEAUBIT ROUTINES explore the rituals of bath, beauty and beyond.

Your nighttime skincare routine is very important; your skin absorbs the nutrients in your products better than during the daytime. The skincare products you apply will be able to penetrate better into the skin when there aren’t any environmental stressors, sun damage or makeup to contend with.

We get Chicago-based beauty blogger Hanah Bae (@lildewybae) to share her nighttime skincare ritual, which includes double cleansing and her favourite retinol eye mask to brighten dark under-eye circles. Scroll ahead for the full routine.

Hanah Bae’s Evening Beauty Ritual

Step 1. Start off by removing the day’s makeup and sunscreen with a good cleansing balm. Wash your face with lukewarm water or wipe off with a damp towel.

Step 2. Go in with a water-based cleanser for a more thorough cleanse.

Step 3. Restore the PH balance of the skin with a toner. Since Hanah has combination skin, she suggests focusing on hydrating so that the skin does not overproduce sebum.

Step 4. Next, move on to serum to treat the skin.
