Adeline Teo on Good Hair Days & Her Beauty Routine for Acne-Prone Skin

Life for Adeline Teo, the eldest daughter of local businesswoman Angela Ng, is a whirlwind of school, social activities and work—she has been running a small side business importing and selling exotic Japanese fruits to clients, which she picked up last year. When she has time, she even helps out with the family business.

“I’m currently doing a business degree,” says Adeline. “If I’m not occupied with assignments, I’ll be busy working, or taking the time out for myself and working out!”

Don’t be fooled by her online persona—underneath that sweet and feminine disposition, is a fighter: “I look quite feminine online but I actually can fight! I do boxing and Muay Thai.”

Adeline’s Beauty Routine

“I like to keep my skincare routine very simple,” emphasises Adeline. “My routine is pretty much just a cleanser, toner, serum, moisturiser and a tinted, non-comedogenic sunscreen in the daytime. I don’t overload my skin with serums and I use a gentle benzoyl peroxide cleanser since I have acne-prone skin.

As for makeup, she keeps it to a bare minimum: “I use concealer where I need to, a little nose contour and lip balm. I try to avoid using foundation unless I have to as I feel it clogs my skin if I use it too often!”

And her favourite beauty rituals after a long day? “I love a good face mask and anything to do with my hair—hair spas, scalp massages, et cetera. A good hair day is always a good day for me!”
