Subtle sparkle

If you’re not one to go out with guns blazing, too much glitter might be off-putting for you. This look is definitely on the natural side; all you have to do is layer on an earthy shade of glitter on the lids and you’ll have yourself a fun but slightly toned-down look. Bonus: it’ll go with almost any outfit.

Duochrome fun

Duochrome eyeshadows are the go-to if you’re in the mood for head-turning eye makeup. Place some on the inner corners and blend well until the middle of the eyelid—it will change your makeup in an instant. The way the shimmers catch light in certain angles will ensure your eyes look simply stunning.

Pack on the eyeshadow liberally, trace the shape with a pencil eyeliner and you’re ready to party all night (or stay home and take lots of selfies, whichever you prefer!).

Not a fan of shimmery lids but want a little something in your look? This mini graphic glitter look proves that glitter doesn’t have to be over-the-top. Do your usual winged flick with black eyeliner and carefully draw a curve above the crease with a glittery pencil for an extra oomph. Pick whichever colours you like best—the opportunities here are endless.

Smoky reds

Tired of the ol’ smoky eye? This smoky red number can pass as both a festive look and a vampy glam night-out look. As with any other smoky eye, the trick is to go in light-handed and to build up the colour. Once you’ve got your desired smokiness, pack on some red shimmer and you’re good to go.

Ombre liner

Remember when people were obsessed with ombré hair? Well, we’re obsessed with this ombré eyeliner. This fun, multi-coloured gradient look isn’t as difficult as it looks. Pick out two colours and start by painting on the darkest shade first, either along the lash line or the tip of the wing. Then, apply the second shade next to it with another brush. Now that you have each colour plotted out, blend each shade out.

For more a toned-down effect, use matte eyeshadow as a base and then pop some glitter on the centre. Another option: go all out and use glitter liquid eyeshadow all over! Just make sure to blend well before it sets.

TIP: To get more out of your glitter eyeshadow, spritz your brush with a setting spray then dip into the shimmery shade before applying for an intense pop.
